In the middle of Austria, in Hipping, on the Attersee-lake, 21 Rett-Families from all parts of Austria came together from June 14th -16th, to spend a nice weekend. On Friday afternoon was the Board meeting to talk about important agendas of the Association.
After Dinner, Gerhard and Stella talked about activities of some european RETT-Associations, IRSF and RSRT, the duties and agendas of RSE, newa of EURORDIS and the Rare Disease Day. They informed again about the Internet Platform www.rareconnect.org, and invited the audience to share the information there.
On Saturday morning a personal trainer showed us how to leverage our body and brain. With a funny ball game we learned all the names of the parents – and this was not as easy as it looked like. But This was great fun!
We were lucky with the weather – sunny all Day! We strolled into the little town at the Attersee-Lake. There we had a nice rest with ice-cream. This gave us time to talk about handling different situations with our girls and change information about various therapies and medics our girls take.
We were also very impressed by an interesting lecture about essentials. Some parents had made positive experience with them. Afterwards we learned about the possibilites of tax reduce for the special expenses of our girls.
During the activities of the Parents, the girls and boy were lovingly looked after, the carers read books, make handcrafts, play guitar and even go for a swim in the pool.
Everybody had a lot of fun and enjoyed the common interests.
In the Evening the Band „Austro-Klang“ played a charity concert, and we were all very inspired
